New Year!

Well, it is just about the end of our Christmas break.  I am looking forward to getting back into the school routine and seeing students and coworkers again!  I hope everyone has enjoyed their time off.  If you are like me, you'll have to get back into the groove of going to bed earlier and getting up earlier! :)
5th grade has their annual Kansas Day Quiz Bowl coming up on Jan. 29th!  This is always a lot of fun! Would anyone be willing to donate a box of juice drinks for that day?

Christmas Break Countdown

We only have 8 more school days until break!  I don't know where the school year has gone!  With such a great group of students, the days go by quickly!  We will be busy the next two weeks!  The AR party will be Friday, Dec. 18th if a student has met his/her reading goal.  They may bring board games and a drink that day!  Progress reports were sent out on the 4th.  If you haven't seen it yet, ask your child for it.  Please sign and return it.  I know we are busy with basketball season now! Merry Christmas!

5th Grade

Progress Reports & Other Important Updates

Progress reports will be sent home today. Please read, sign, and send back to school.  AR 50% is due Friday.  Some students are doing a great job of meeting their goals and reading the books required this nine weeks grading period.

If you haven't signed up for Power School, please talk to Mrs. Boone in the office.  This will enable you to check on your child's grades on a daily basis if desired.  Also, Mrs. Carpenter will be happy to sign you up for the parent's portion of AR.  This will allow you to check the tests your child has taken on AR.

Notes were also sent home last week about our field trip to Old Iron Days.  The field trip is Friday, September 25.
